I want to buy a sewing machine for someone who realy have an interest in sewing but is pretty clueless in the order of them.
Also a fairly low price would be nice too

Answers:    Probably a plain Singer sewing contrivance would be best for a beginner. I've have several kinds and Singer seem to be simple and last. I own 3 now. The price at some local stores, are beneath $100. It even has twist stitches capability.

I close to Brother sewing machines. They are easy to thread...top and bobbin. Plus, most models own a digital read out. Each stitch is just a button push away.
