What can one do to roses that have almost withered in writ to keep them alive, or in a righteous condition?
Answers:    I assume you are speaking of a rose bush.
Are they wilted? Roses need about an inch of hose down per week. If they've gone without water that could be the problem. If they've have water, but are still wilted they could have root rot or something could be ingestion the roots. :(
Also roses need about 6 hours of sunlight day after day. Make sure they have enough sun. And morning sun is better than afternoon sun.
Check the groundwork of the plant. You could dig it up and put it in fresh potting soil, but commonly once the roots have rotted the only solution is to throw away the plant-Not surrounded by the compost pile (because it could contaminate the pile.) Throw it in the trash bin.
Hope it just requests water. :)

If you're referring to cut flowers you can re-cut the stems (under water, at an angle, beside a sharp blade) and put them in fresh water and a verbs vase along with some flower or plant food. That might extend the time a bit.
Or hang them upside down to dry and make a dried floral arrangement to relish!
