Why do rednecks own dated vans and wash machines within the hindmost patio? And what do they plan to do with them eventually?? ...

And what do they plan to do with them eventually?? They simply sit their for years and rust.
C'mon...you know who you are...
stereotypes .

I agree, this is a stereotypical view, but- what is interesting is, if you travel to remote areas in other countries, they too will hang on to broken down vehicles.

I took a trip to Scotland a few years final, and out in some of the remote ares of the islands, we saw a few vehicles that seem to have be just departed where they broke down. In remote ample areas, they can't just bid a tow truck, and the materials for repairing things can be hard to come by. If you hold the room, might as well hang on to something around that you can scavenge for parts within order to survive.

Some might permit the sit there for years, but other populace do in certainty recycle and reuse.
Answers:    Probably because it costs money to have someone come and lug it away, and they are too lazy or tired of something to do it themselves.
