We're planning to move to Washington and buy our house there but I can't seem to find a brick home next to a basement.

I'm curious why the house must be brick sided? That seem like an odd requirement when shopping for a home. A vault I can understand though. Location, floorplan, price, and condition are usually the important factor people consider when buying a home, not what type of siding it has. If it's only just a preference and you're not having much luck finding brick homes at hand, you might have to be a little smaller number picky on the siding choice. why does it have to be made of bricks? are you scared of the big discouraging wolf?
