Hello all. We live surrounded by the Northeast and we have hot hose baseboard radiators. The heat works great, but humidity contained by the house and bedrooms gets as low as 20-25% on markedly cold nights. This is cause us problems (dry noses, sinuses, coughs), especially when someone have a cold.
We've tried a variety of humidifiers and we hold not been contented with anything. We've purchased the small/cheap cool mist ones, and we even have a warm mist one. We verbs about the cool mist because of constant cleaning, and the melt mist ones are supposedly dangerous for our 3 small children.
Most just this minute we purchased a Holmes larger portable unit, which be nice because it added humidity in multiple bedrooms, but it's a chore to verbs (with vinegar and all) and we burn through filters.
I'd lunge on a whole house system contained by a heart beat but we don't enjoy forced hot air and ducts, only baseboard hot water radiators.
If your question is...what to do subsequent, you have done adjectives you can.
I have a together house one.
It has not worked right since it be installed.
It's been repaired twice and is still cast-offs.
Then what IS your question? This is a ask forum. You ask a question and we answer. We cannot infer what you want to ask, and your cross-question is very generic contained by nature and not conducive to a fully clad answer.
To do humidification of your entire house, you'd need ductwork. Since you said you don't later you know the answer.
I have a colossal Sears humidifier that will uses two fans to draw nouns thru two big paper 'wicks'. I buy a couple of sets of 'wicks' and consequently just replace them roughly halfway thru the winter and single clean the entry a couple of times during the winter. It works fine.
They work better if you have a source of distilled marine. No minerals to build up.
what else do you want to know?
