You'll pay a bundle for a bundle at any store where on earth you can buy it. The CL listing is a flawless idea. PennysaverUSA.com also have ads for firewood. I carry a one day permission from the USFS (Forrest Service) that allows me to remove all the inert wood I can haul contained by a day. Trees that hold been knock down my storms are the primary source. It's $5.00 for the permit. I also bring it from tree trimming services. Many of them make a side business of selling wood final to the people who compensated them to haul it away surrounded by the first place. I'm in the wrong business...sheesh. If you're looking for wood for a shore fire or a camp fire construction sites will sometimes consent to you have their leftovers but ask first and only tow the big stuff away. The little stuff just burns to hastily. Wooden pallets make a spectacular bon fire at the sand, Pile them as high as you dare. Ten of them stacked up will impart you a nice 30'-40' tall fire.
