What to use INDOORS to repel snakes?? We are staying in a small villa for a week or two....

We are staying in a small villa for a week or two. Each time we have be there contained by the past we own seen small snakes inside the log cabin. Is there anything that you can put indoors to repel the snakes? I know mothballs read aloud something like "for use within sealed nouns, not for open nouns use". So is there anything else that can be used INDOORS while we are staying nearby??
Is nearby a type of grass that ants...

get a cat!!! yeah snakes dont resembling them , or a ferret.. the snakes will run away when the front claw smacks down on them!!! borrow one if you have too.
