What temp should I set the thermostat? My husband and I are in a constant skirmish over the thermostat....

My husband and I are in a constant skirmish over the thermostat. We live in centralized TX. The biggest issue is when we sleep. I would like the temp to be passageway down, maybe approaching 62 and he sets it more in the 70's. I compromise at 68 but he'll acquire up in the middle of the dark and put in on 72, afterwards I can't sleep! It's driving me batty, so I thought maybe we could procure feedback from the community...what's a "normal" temperature to sleep to?
Answers:    68 is accurate for your electric bill and a temp that anyone can get comfy beside. He can use an extra blanket, or sleep with flannel pj's on. During the morning I still say 68. The hundreds of dollars you will set free a year will be worth his throwin' on a sweatshirt around the house.
Set at 32 degrees.
