We have a 32' X 42' garage beside 12' ceilings (no interior walls). We want to receive an electric furnace to keep the garage at a constant warmth. What size furnace would be sufficient? We do hold a wood burner to use, but we won't be in the garage constantly to keep hold of a fire going. We don't want the cement floor to crack due to freezing. We live in Ohio.
Answers: a 15 kw boiler would do the job
(10 watts/ sq ft.......1344 sq ft.....13440watts.....13.44KW....15 KW is the closest)
if y'adjectives have a supporter forced furnace you can have a 15 kw duct electric fire added and use a 2 stage stat with the duct stove as stage 2.
if not, you might consider electric end boards ....6 8' 2500w heaters would do it.
if you have a friend surrounded by the business, ask for an old nouns handler for a heat pump.....they will enjoy the heat strips and a blower.
hope this help,
