Bought a "ficus gingsen" tree n it's getting weak. I've fallowed adjectives the instructions but nothing.....I also c some "white" stuff around it...Is this reversible?
Answers: If the white stuff looks fluffy, approaching cotton, you've got spider mites and they'll massacre the tree. Take some rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab and dab the alcohol everywhere you see the fluffy stuff. You'll inevitability to do it several times over about a week to be sure you get hold of them all. The tree will get better if you take meticulousness of it per instructions and check it for reinfestation.
:) Don't freak, you're still a good bonsai daddy, this is VERY adjectives.
There is good instruction from "lfh1213". If the white stuff is on the soil, it is probably from chlorine surrounded by the water. Scrape it sour and pitch it. You are probably watering it too much. Let the soil dry at the top before rewatering. You may want to read the Bonsai Care page on my site:
http://www.american-bonsai.com There is a passage on watering.
