What pooped on my wife's saloon? I walked out this morning and saw a bunch of small splatters...

I walked out this morning and saw a bunch of small splatters of a brown substance adjectives over the hood of the car. There be none on the ground in the surrounding nouns, or on our other car. My wife is unmistaken that it didn't happen while she be driving. It seems close to something fell from the sky. There is no tree or any other object directly above our driveway. Each piece is round, desk light brown, and about the size of a penny contained by diameter. If it was in recent times one or two pieces, I would guess that some bird dropped them while flying. But there are in the region of 20-25 little brown nuggets strewn across the hood of the car. This is really wierd. What is going on?
Small moth infestation? Help?
Answers:    your wife run over a squirrel. that is blood spatter on the hood. Lift the hood and you'll see blood dried on the aficionado blade also.
