E.g. inside the house: in a bedroom, closet, living room, or contained by the garage?
Answers:    Somewhere where it is lowest possible likely to leak far if the floor collapses in a fire. Under a stairway, possibly, or over the house's main support. If the house has no subterranean vault, but is on a slab, anyplace will do. Obviously, the farther a safe falls, the more imagined it is to break or become distorted, causing it to founder.

A damp subterranean vault, however, is NOT good. The safe's insulation swells near the excess moisture, eventually interfering with the lock operation.
Why would it business? It's firesafe....

Usually some people put them surrounded by their bedroom closets or attics. Some place where you can access it effortlessly and hide it from burglars. If you don't hold an attic or a closet, you can always screen it under a bed. Even if you own a housefire, you should still be able to get better it.
