I'm buying a house that needs unusual carpet and thought I'd move about with wood floors instead or possibly even tiles. Any suggestions on types and any cost effective tips on doing it yourself? I approaching the dark cherry cabinet look contained by the kitchen and want a floor to match.
Answers: I just now installed Pergo wood flooring it was outstandingly easy to install. I bought it Thur Costco as a special direct. Make sure the surface your installing it over is level. Plan ahead, so that the geometry of the project looks right. You may want to invest within buying a few pieces first in different colors. It's kinda resembling wearing a suit, dark pant, light shirt, threatening shirt, light pant, you get my drift. If the floor exactly match the cabinets, It may not look as great as you see in your mind`s eye a little contrast is well-mannered. I have bought 4 house's contained by my lifetime and if I can give some great suggestion.. You may not want to hear but...I have found that a project for a unusual house works best if you move in first, live near for a few weeks or months.. Then do the project reason man that once you live there your going to capture a better feel, approaching how the light comes contained by, and so on. If you have pets use a laminate flooring. If not definite wood is nicer. If you go laminate dont shift real cheap as it will grain like youre walking on cardboard. I hold two dogs and in a week my wood floors be toast.
