What is the best type of humidifier for our house? My husband and I live in an approx. 2000 sq. ft. home...

My husband and I live in an approx. 2000 sq. ft. home surrounded by Kansas, and it gets so dry within the winter. His hands obtain all cracked. I am thinking an in-duct humidifier may be the best, but would love recommendation on specific brands/types.

Answers:    in-duct would be the best but also the costliest. I use a Holmes model that came from Wal-mart. I add on water every few days and see my indoor barometer and adjust the settings as necessary. We enjoy only wood stoves for fry and this works well for us. I also renovation the filter often.
