Distance is 25 miles. From 3rd floor Apt to 3rd floor Apt (in Michigan). The main things I inevitability to move (I can do the rest myself) are: 2 Sofas, 1 TV (the old style robust ones), 2 Tables, 1 Bed and 1 Book Shelf. I know no one can offer an exact number, I'm just looking for a catalogue. I tried the mover's website but all they do is ask for email and phone numbers and I'm not feeling like to give them those until I'm not sure who I will use.
Answers: The finishing time I moved, a few years ago, I hired 2 guys and a truck for $50/hr. I probably have twice as much stuff as you and moved twice as far. Cost me $400.00, plus I tipped the guys.
I know your frustration. It would be nice if a moving company would grant you an average or something to go by, but they never do.
most movers enjoy a three to four hour minimum. the average cost is between $100-$130 per hour. being it a third floor to third floor i would vote your move will be in the 400 to 520 collection
