I will be renting a room in my house and I am told that I tend to find cold easier than most due to hypothyroidism. I was wondering what temp most citizens are comfortable at inside their homes/keep A/C at in summer months?
Answers: I'm not picky for temp but my wife is. I'm more picky for money. She's adjectives about 85 contained by the winter and 75 in the summer. We've settled on going on for 77 year round. If you get cold slickly, 80 is prob more your speed.
I set the temp. in the summer just about 10-20 degrees lower than the expected high for the week. The A/C is turned on the first time at night: temps are mostly lower and Elec. use is normally lower as business are closed, washers & dryers, and other indigestible household Elec. use is down and the pull on the power grid is lower. Some behind time Spring and Early Summer Brown Outs are due to a large surge surrounded by power useage by Business and Residential Customers.
