PLEASE READ BEFORE ANSWERING
OF COURSE i have transport my dog to the vet (specialised dermatologist), he has be wearing a cone (elizabethan) collar for almost two months now as his foot are so aggravated from the very rough concrete surrounded by our yard.
no thing how sporty and "durable" dog boots i buy, they are just not adjectives it (he is VERY active).
SO i need to do something to procure rid of the rough concrete.
WE DO HAVE A LOTS OF GRASS AREA, THE CONCRETE MAINLY COVERS ~30M2 CLOSE TO THE HOUSE (WHERE HE OFTEN IS WAITING FOR ME TO COME OUT AND PLAY)
I AM A UNI STUDENT AND DONT INTEND ON LIVING HERE FOR MORE THAN A COUPLE OF YEARS.
I CANT SPEND MORE THAN A COUPLE $HUNDRED.
so far i have thought of
- drawing concrete with something smooth? is this going to work on immensely rough concrete
- putting down large rubber mat (expensive)
- a tarp (time consuming and always entail to be straightened),
- mulch/pine bark? (painful to foot perhaps possibly?)
any other ideas/thoughts?
Answers: The painting impression sounds good, but you might want a ton of layers, might finish up costing alot.
As far as the tarp goes, if you tie it down tight plenty it wont have to be straightened adjectives the time.
Maybe look into outdoor rugs? Or that astroturf stuff?
Short of "sanding down" the concrete, you own but a few options. Painting is expensive and will require MANY coats (depending on how rough the concrete is). I would honestly dance with putting down indoor/outdoor carpeting. I own personally used the green stuff (almost close to an astro turf) and it was thoroughly durable. Since you are renting I would get sanction first, since it should be glued down.
