I live in a flat near four other people, we hold one room each and a kitchen/living nouns. Our kitchen is already taken up with herb and several carniverous plants, but I want to grow something edible within my room. Does anybody have any suggestions? Just not tomatoes - I know they're apt to grow, but I really don't like the weakness!
Answers: Whatever you grow, it needs to enjoy a certain amount of sunlight a afternoon and a way for you to fertilize the flowers it produces so that they will take on fruit.
Peppers, beans (which would need something to climb on), cuban oregano, opal basil, curly branch parsley, miniature egg plant, okra--all come to mind. You would need a reasonably large and philosophical container and would need to administer your plant Neptune organic fertilizer as any plant surrounded by a pot will deplete the soil of nutrients--which will need to be replaced periodically.
