I have an arrangment of different sort some mainly dandilions, but its the greens leaved, purple flower that have taken over my garden. I dont really want to used weed killer, and wouldn't that slay the grass.
Any ideas.

You can seize lawn weed and nurture from most garden centres and supermarkets, it kill the weeds and nurture the lawn, it wont hurt the grass at adjectives.

i use ortho weed b gon max
the container attaches to the conclude of a garden house, you then turn on the wet and open the spigot that releases the chemical along with the dampen. works wonders.
kills the weed but NOT the grass.
lowe's or home depot, about $12.00 a bottle for something like 5,000 square feet.
dandelions will wilt in a day or two, other weed take somewhat longer. give it a try a moment ago once and i'm sure you'll buy it again.
the weed and feeds work also, but you must FIRST WET THE GRASS AND WEEDS so the dry chemicals can stick to the leafs of the weed. if it doesn't stick it won't work.

Answers:    Dandelions and clover aren't really the best prairie.You might be best digging it up and re-turfing,if you don't want to use weedkiller.Otherwise,look for a lawn dressing containing sulphate of iron,this will blacken the pasture and look bad for a while,but should assassinate the two weeds mentioned.
