I just noticed today holes contained by the sealing beams contained by my shed with black bee/bug think inside. It looks resembling a bee, but Im not sure. Anyone tell me what it is and how to get rid of them? HELLPPP!!
Termites? TERMITES! call a termite inspector.
bumble bees drill holes in wood and make them nest http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/vi... those are wood bees , i hold them digging a couple of holes in my deck . What they do is sleep in their . We packed in the holes with calk and covered the hole up and a short time ago put some poison around. Its seems to be working well so you could dispense it a try . GL
Answers: This site have a whole list of insects that verbs wood along with pictures. Hope you figure out what it is. As far as getting rid of them...I wouldn't mess around. Call an exterminator. It'll cost you, but it'll be worth it surrounded by the long run...i.e. costly repairs. Good luck!

Most likely a carpenter bee. They love untreated/unpainted wood. We have fun swating them down near tennis racquets. You can try sealing the holes up and painting a apposite layer of paint on the beams. if it be termites there would be wings or mounds close by it the other thing is carpenter bees there signature red mark is holes but if its gone its because the wood is lamenent witch repels them
Probably some type of carpenter bee, exactly which depends on your location. Get some bee & wasp gel spray and blast 'em. It's probably hornets or wasps. Get a can of wasp killer that shoots like 12 foot. Blast the nests/holes with the spray and saturate. Kill adjectives the bugs that you can that come out. They won't return to a sprayed nest.
Wood boring bee-I enjoy them too.Seal up the hole with caulk-the usually go away when you do this termites?
or around my home, bumblebees and dirt dobblers (another type of bee)
