I'm looking to buy a pair of work boots (not the lace up kind, the slip-on kind) and I would similar to to know 2 things:

1) What are the best work boots for walking/running on hard, wet/slippery surfaces?

2)How can I gain these boots for cheap since I don't want to spend too much money?

It would be really helpful if you could make the addition of a price estimate to your suggestions. Thank You All So Much! Your help is greatly appreciated :)
Answers:    We hike on beams so I other look for oil/slip resistant soles. Most boots have a sticky label that tells if they are slip resistant or not.

DO NOT buy cheap boots if you are going to wear them for 8-10 hours a time. Cheap boots are very sturdy on the feet and dont stay impermeable for long. They also fall apart thoroughly quickly.

Red Wing is my choice. They are totally comfortable and they stay waterproof forever. They're also guaranteed 100% for 3-6 months and pro-rated for up to a year. The price around here ranges from $125 and up depending on the boot.

BUY AMERICAN
you grasp what you pay for i would spend the extra money and receive a pair of red wing just form sure there the ones made contained by the usa not china
