I had a huge paper wasp nest low to the ground (60cm), be there several weeks, later one day it be gone. Nest and wasps completely vanished. Not a trace of either to be found and no human interference. Any thinking what could have deal with it beforehand me?
Answers: If you have woods around your house it be most likely a possum or a raccoon. Those little buggers are looking for a midnight snack! Just be grateful they get the wasps, not the trashcan!! haha- Good Luck!
It seems to me I hear that swallows will do that if their young are threatened. I'm not positive so don't quote me. Are in attendance nests of any kind to hand the area and be it the time of year that birds have youthful?
