Weed beside pink flower, vines near thorns contained by gras? I'm looking for the best weed directory. I need one next...

I'm looking for the best weed directory. I need one next to good pictures because I really want to grasp rid of this stinking weed as it has spread adjectives over my back pasture. St. Augustine grass in Texas.

It looks close to a vine with a bunch of small thorns on it body. The vine rides below the grass so you can't really mow it but when you get one you can verbs and some vines are at least 3 ft long.

The most distinctive side is the pink flower it produces. It kinda looks like a bunch of pink sticks shootint out of a bulb. I can verbs them all sooner or later and the next a couple of them flower beside those annoying pink flowers. They are not petals but more like sticks and it's a bright pink color. It reminds me of a fiber optic hurricane lantern.

I'm thinking it's some kind of thistle.

Any clue to what weed this is and how to take out it without massacre my grass? Lowes employee told me it's a bush. hahah. it's gotta be a weed. Any well-mannered websites to narrow it down?
Answers:    it does nouns like a thistle, Dwarf Thistle (stemless thistle) probably. if only one or two specimens are present, remove next to a fork or spot treat with a chemical. for overall treatment use a selective weedkiller containing dicamba or mecoprop. repeat the spray something like 6 weeks later. One entity that concerns me is that thistles aren't vines. It's very possible it could be a Knapweed (similar spikey flower to a thistle) which if the pasture is mown irregulary will trail along the ground. A general weed hired gun applied once will eradicate it, but 2 applications about 6 weeks apart are needed. Proper turf regulation will keep it lower than control.

hhhmmmmmm could be 'echinop' look that up in a dig out engine. good luck!

heres a website that help identify weeds
