My daughters see them walking home from school almost every sunshine during the summer time. Our small property is backed up against a wooded creek and we can't do anything give or take a few the wooded area since it's on the property trailing us. We see the water moccasins adjectives over the place here in the nouns but others have call the wildlife authorities and they won't do anything about it. I put moth ball around and under the house but I'm afraid that might not work. Because they are aggressive and fundamentally poisonous I'm afraid my children may get bit and I won't permit them play in the courtyard. We keep the grass cut short and get rid of anything around the house they might want to bed in. We own a lot of lizards and spiders around so we integer that's what's drawing them. Heck I don't know how to get rid of the lizards any. A cat's life is cut within half keeping them outside so that isn't an prospect. Our cats are indoors and that's where they belong. Shooting the snakes is against the rules.
Answers: you get a problem-they do make crushed moth ball to spread around the house to keep snakes out-it does work but smells.Its just temporary fix to problem.Keeping the grass cut works.Water moccasins enjoy to stay near hose down so that's a plus.All you can do is learn their customs, learn how to corner them and kill them-It wont get rid of them but sure reduce the population.The lizards are creating no wound.I have lived around them for years they not that much of a threat once you cram their ways and habits
