I have a 15' pool explicitly 42" deep. I'm looking at two different Intex filter.

1. 2500 GPH
2. 4000 GPH

Besides being severe overkill and a few more dollars is in that any good principle to NOT get the 4000? Is bigger not other better?

I really don't mind spending the extra money if it will help keep hold of my pool cleaner.

Thanks.
I have pretty much duplicate question. My Intex filter/pump sucks. I read somewhere that the 4000 gph would be too much force if your pool be less than 18ft, but I'm not sure where on earth.

The individual thing to be concerned that I know of is to clear sure your hoses can take the extra power.

I hold the same pool near the same quiz!!Good luck!
Answers:    I am on my second year with my intex pool. For the most division last year be a horrible experience I could never get the pool to bring clear. If it didn't have algae it have a white powder substance on the bottom. I went over the opinion of getting a bigger pump. But towards the end of summer a friend of mine passed along her experience and fluency. You actually do not obligation a bigger pump. Here are tips for beautiful sea in your pool. Use 2 oz per time of instant shock 3 oz when hot. Make sure it is a dissolvable shock. When you put it in the pool it should look approaching water going surrounded by. I can't emphasize satisfactory how it must be completely dissolved. I just put the 2 oz of powder insta shock surrounded by a jug supply about 1/2 gal hot dampen let it dissolve and dump it within. Then every 2 days put in 2 oz of soft algaecide increase to daily when hot. You will stipulation a bottle of PH minus (you can buy this at walmart and it is powder form that dissolve nicely) on hand for those days when you theory test your water and the ph is high-ranking. (usually when it rains) Get yourself on of those little test kit and test your hose daily. NOT testing strips. Do not buy your Insta Shock or Algaecide at Wal Mart go to your local pool store. Tell them you stipulation insta shock that will dissolve completely. Never dump any Shock or Algaecide in your pool that are not solution form or dissolved. You will get a powder substance on the bottom of your pool that will nick days to get out. As far as the filter go, the first week I used 2 filters. I would pilfer one out clean it consent to it dry then switch them. Now I enjoy used a new filter every 2 weeks. I basically take my filter out, hose it stale and put it back surrounded by. I have have my pool up for a month now and it have been crystal clear! If you do own algae in the pool or see a white dust cloud when you go to vacuum DO NOT run this through the filter because it will not fence in it and it will go right stern into the pool. Simply put the vacuum in the pool next to the hose emptying onto the ground. This might purloin a few days to get rid of doesn`t matter what you may have at the bottom of the pool but it is the with the sole purpose way to catch it out completely. I hope this helps. Trust me if you follow this it will formulate your pool enjoyable and not such a distress. Total cost of chemicals monthly is about $30.00 for me. Oh yea my pool is a 6000 gal. I could email pictures if you want. You will be amazed. I know I am!!
