I have no problem growing the plants from kernel using the Jiffy peat pellets but once I transplant them into a pot for my balcony they start to look a bit droopy after a few days. They tend to get a bit yellow around the edges but they haven't died completely but. Also, they don't seem to be growing as hastily as were until that time they were transplanted. This is as a rule happening to my tomatoes, both regular sized and cherry. Is at hand something wrong that I'm doing? Thank you so much for your help, adjectives suggestions are appreciated!
P.S. I live on Maui, just within case the climate make a difference in your answer.
Answers: It sounds approaching they aren't getting enough dampen or are exposed to too much heat. When you transplant them, do it at a cool time of year and make sure to marine them very economically. If there are nouns pockets in the soil when you transplant them, that can disrupt the plant's expertise to absorb wet, causing wilting and slowed growth for a while.
Also, save them in a cooler place for the first couple of days because plants become awfully stressed when transplanted.
Also, make sure that the untried soil that you transplant them into has satisfactory nutrients. When you water potted plants, the nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus, mainly) acquire washed out. If the soil is poor, the leaves can turn ashen.
I had matching problem with my tomatoes but they didnt turn until i put them contained by the ground outside but what i did was merely water them closely and make sure they bring back a lot of sun tomatoes close to it hot good luck
