I have a roma tomato plant on my veranda and there are 10 kid tomatoes on it but now I am finding the leaves are going wan and have holes contained by them.I can't see any bugs..what is causing this? can I spray them next to something that won't hurt the tomatoes I want to eat eventually..thankfulness
Answers: Those are tiny bugs, likely flea beatles, that are chewing those tiny holes. They are sucking out the juice and likely spreading disease to your plants.
Any garden store will provide a tomato or vegetable spray. Choose a pyrethrum or rotenone spray if you want to go life. Either way, in recent times remember they're still insectisides and you'll need to swab your maters before drinking.
Also, make sure you fertilize. My experience is that a clothed sized tomato plant will easily suck out adjectives the nutrients from a potting mix before the season is over.
