I know nothing in the order of this sort of thing. Where do I start? Can anyone suggest a book?

Answers:    Congratulations!

Since you're a fresh gardener, you don't want to try anything too big. There is a book about a gardening method call Lasagna gardening. Take a look at that: It's good for building raise beds contained by small areas, with rich soil.

If the plants you choose produce economically, you do indeed get better taste vegetables than you would from the store, and a lot of them.

This isn't much I know. But I hope it help!
Start with buying seed early when they progress on sale.(then you will liberate money) Grow them inside to get a commander start.(winter or fall)When it becomes reheat enough (depending on the vegetable)Plant them outside and soon plenty you will have fresh vegetables when you want them
