Any help from our elder would be very positive. How did you all construct it throug the depression. Any suggestions on heating a home surrounded by the city, feeding your loved ones, etc. Serious anwers only.
Answers: I qualify as a senior on a monthly fixed income and I hold got to say aloud the rising gas prices has particularly kept me closer to home and really curtailed my favorite activities of fishing and camp.
What I am learning to do is I enjoy a small vegetable garden in which I planted 4 of our favorite vegetables and we will can and put up greatly of them which I estimate will save roughly $ 200.00 a year.
Next I traded my gas guzzling high powered boat for a vastly small motored fishing boat. From 30 gal. capacity to a 4 gal. cistern I can now fish four trips as challenging one with the bigger motored boat. Plus considering I seldom fish over two miles from where on earth I launched my boat, at hand is no need to dance fast and in actual fact with a smaller boat I can tow it cheaper too beside another big savings.
At the souk we look for sales on meat products, several times the market will engrave down meat that is days matured but still safe to consume. Buying within bulk helps here too, if we approaching pork chops, we'll buy several pounds and divide it up in smaller packages once we receive them home.

Well I am in the country, not the city, but here we formulate sure we do all our errands at once when we drive into town. A couple of small electric heaters comfort take the chill past its sell-by date off only just one room if need be. Electric blankets are great too. We buy food contained by bulk when possible and also shop for more store brands and take power of sale items. We stock of freezer contained by the garage with meat and chicken when to be exact on sale.
I no longer hold a vegetable garden due to too much shade, but I can buy fresh vegetables in bulk to freeze at the farmer's souk in the summer. Oh, and we hold changed most all lightbulbs surrounded by our house to the new verve saving bulbs. While it doesn't pick up money, I might add that I very soon do my grocery shopping with the recycled loads you can purchase cheaply and use over and over again. They are nice and strong and don't rip like the plastic or article ones. They're great and they help the environment. I suggest that everyone can customize ways of saving joie de vivre to suit their own living situation and I am looking forward to reading some more good thinking on here that I might be able to use.
