The majority of people who I call in or visit us automatically rob their shoes off when entering the house. I enjoy one relative who refuses to do it when she visit. Do you think we are excessive to ask her to take her shoes stale. She makes areall fuss everytime and precipitation or shine wears shoes surrounded by our house!. My thoughts are that shoes are for outside!.
Answers: Same rule in my home- They should respect your wishes- They would expect matching if it were a rule within their home. Just let her know that this is how you would close to your space to be respected.
I think if it is your house, after you make the rules. Especially if you own kids and are trying to set an example, you can't have one rule for one and one for another.
Just ask politely remove them, I don`t know have some slippers on appendage to offer?
