I am thinking of getting an above ground easy-set pool and wondered, with the UK weather, how cold would it be next to no heating?
Do you infer a solar cover would do the trick, and how much so?
Answers:    Solar blanket or solar rings are easy to use,
they will also maintain heat surrounded by at night.
Check ebay, or local pool store.
A solar blanket clearly helps retain the fry in your pool but you enjoy to have a warmth source first such as the sun or a stand alone heater. A constantly cool and sunless climate will cool down your dampen temp specially an above ground unit. I hold a 25,000 gallon heated inground pool and the cover boosts the water temp during sunny days in need having to turn the electric fire on. Those solar covers only later about 2 seasons(years) by the process. After that, the bubbles start having little holes and they retain miosture and eventually grow moldy.
