Solar swimming pool cover counsel please!? I am thinking of getting a solar blanket for my pool to...
I am thinking of getting a solar blanket for my pool to reduce evaporation, however my pool does not enjoy coping. Its an inground pool, with pebble crete. I be wondering if the blanket will blow off, because I do not enjoy the coping. Anyone had any problems near a similar pool type? Thanks.
Answers: Solar blankets are not held down by coping. It is held down by the surface tension of the dampen. When you cut them you're generally suppossed to cut them basically a tiny bit larger (1" to 2") on all sides so that the cover "rolls up" a bit onto the tile, or within your case the pebblecrete.
If you cut the bubbles, aside from wasting a massive amount of time, you also interfere near the bubbles ability to refract the sunlight properly and thus could negatively affect the heat ability of the cover.
You unstop a few of the bubbles so they get wet in them in the region of 3% my brother did this and the water within the blanket keeps it on his ool he call it his ool because there's no p in his pool ~~
