Okay - I read all the other threads like this, but I still want to fashion sure what I was told is correct.
My solar lights use Ni-Cad rechargeable batteries, AA size.
I newly left Walmart with a pack of rechargeable battery - the guy there said I can use these, and that they are the same point as the ones my lights came with.
Can someone assure me that it's okay to use these battery instead of the nickel-cadmium batteries that came next to my lights?
My neighbor be moving and gave me a solar light and lo and behold what be inside but rechargeable batteries. It makes since because the solar panel is a recharger.
yep long as they are re-chargeable any AA will work... the ones that came with your table lamp were just lower power MAH and thats why they other run down pretty fast... these new ones will stay on longer if there's plenty of daytime sunlight..
FYI you might charge them a full 12 hours 1st in the past putting them in the lights just so they are fully "conditioned"
Answers: I replaced my solar light batteries final year. They had cheap-o Ni-Cd AA batteries that be something like 500mAH. I replaced them with AA Ni-MH 1000mAH, which technique they'll last twice as long during the night. Any AA rechargeable should be sheltered and ok to use.
