Pleae let me know of any methods you own heard of or tired that work. If you're not sure please don't answer.
The beer works, also crushed egg shells sprinkled on the ground . The crushed shells are sharp and they don't like them. These are crude ways, they also sell pellet called slug candy that massacre them. Good luck
I'm within the UK but I'm guessing you can buy this in any garden foundation anywhere - copper tape.
It's give or take a few a inch wide and sticky-backed, you stick to the foot and top of your plant pots.
Not sure exactly how it works but it kind of give slugs and snails a 'jolt' of electric when they cross it so they get buzzed and put a bet on away!
It's worked on all my plants next to the exception of Basil which has be reduced to stalks (I guess the slimey creatures will put up with anything for Basil!).
I bought mine surrounded by B&Q and paid going on for lb4 for a large-ish roll.
Answers: Sprinkle Slug & Snail Bait around plants you want to protect. Stuff works 100%. I use it to protect hostas. The beer entity does work, but it also has the effect of attracting the critters to anything area you put it contained by. If your plants are on the way to the beer, they may stop by and munch.
