Should I win rid of this stuff? Well, most of it is more than just stuff to me. Things...

Well, most of it is more than just stuff to me. Things like childhood stuffed animals, some mature school things and random knick knacks that I enjoy an attachment to. I don't *need them, and they take up a lot of room.. but I be aware of like if I get rid of them I'll be missing a piece of something that I'll never hold again. Kinda silly, I know.

What're those people called, that don't resembling to throw things out because they think they might need it within the future? Clutter bugs? That's what I am. lol

Anyway.. I've been told I should simply get rid of it and that I would be the better for it. Not only will I hold more space, but I'll be letting a lot of old stuff/memories turn in a way and grain more clear.

I dunno.. I'm really indecisive about this as you can tell. lol

How is it "things" can be so concrete to get rid of??
I am also a clutter bug or pack rat, when I perceive the need to declutter. I will take pictures of the items that hold some special memories and place them in photo albums, then I confer it away to the local church thrift store so that I can feel better about getting rid of the items and give support to someone else. Yeah, dump the crap! You will feel so liberated when that crap is gone and your home is verbs!
I agree with the first answer, pass most of it away as you will feel your helping someone else who may not have as much as you and that course any memories are not just being thrown away they may produce memories for the new owners.
Keep a few small bits that really do mean the most but broken bits im afaid they are better sour in the bin.
Good luck and happy decluttering.

Answers:    Well I feel much empathy near you because I went through this same scenario not 2 months ago. I am 21 years old and I have a bunch of stuffed animals, baseball cards and even incomplete board games that I have kept forever.

It started to take up method to much space so I decided today was going to be the time I got rid of it. I actually sit on my floor and had to almost surgically remove these items from my hand to the pouch. It is this unmistakable feeling that you are disrespecting whoever gave you these items whether as a present or basically thinking of you.

What I did was I donated them to my jobs flea flea market and they sold these things to help with charity. That made me get the impression alot better. It was out of the way but it be not in the trash. I finally got rid of it adjectives but it has a new energy to someone who could really use it, not just collecting dust. My advice I can make available to you is try to find a local thrift shop and donate most of the unnecessary things. You can always keep 2 or 3 things, not a soul will notice ;-). Good Luck!
throw half away keep partially simple
