During the winter conditions in my house are self-conscious. We tons of static electricity, dry/cracked skin, etc....we live in two story colonial and be wondering if i should purchase a whole house humidifier? Was are the pros and cons of have one? should i just buy a stand alone? any give a hand would be great. thanks
Answers: There are no cons that i can presume of. If you have a furnace (Forced air) system, you can enjoy a whole house section put on relatively easily by a HVAC co. "April Air ' make good ones Otherwise you can grasp console models with spread able tank Bionaire, and Holmes are good name. They require monitoring to keep full. Use the evaporitive type not steam or ultrasonic they be off white powder on everything unless you use distilled water, or buy expensive filter. Static elect will be reduced Your furniture will last longer lacking loosening up, Your respiratory system will work better with moisture and your heat bill will be less surrounded by that moist air holds roast better are just a few of the benefits. .
Having one that mounts to the furnace will hang on to a more accurate level and you don't own to keep calculation water. With mine, only just outside of chicago, I turn my unit rotten it the spring. One thing that I do resembling to do also is keep the furnace adherent constantly on to keep nouns moving in the winter. Price perceptive this is more expensive than a stand alone, but not as messy as the portable. New unit probably will be underneath 200.00. Just make sure the buy the section to fit your square foot of house. good luck, totally happy next to mine.
