What is the best sewing machine to purchase to stitch words onto shirts and hoodys?
Answers:    you didn't vote how big you want the letters and words. are you planning on doing this commercially? most home embroidery machines will invalid the warranty if you use it commercially. i've used the janome, pfaff, viking and brother embroidery machines. i personally prefer the brother splash. i still haven't read completely thru the manual. it is really jammy to use. my machine is a ult2002d and i own heard that the untried brother self threading is tricky to learn to use. i've hear good things just about the brother se270d that walmart sells for $350 is a upright machine. if i remember right it comes beside a 5" x 7" hoop. since you basically want the apparatus for lettering i would suggest purchasing a hoop-it-all for your machine. www.hoopitall.com it will afford you a much larger embroidery area lacking having to re-hoop. i will also voice i haven't really heard anything appropriate about the singer embroidery appliance. there are tons yahoo groups for machine embroidery. some are domestic device specific. you may want to search yahoo groups for the specific brand of electrical device you are looking at and see what the people on the yahoo groups meditate of their machines.

here are a couple of embroidery websites i would like to share near you.

>Designshttp://www.designsbysick.com/amember/go.... by SiCK Embroidery Library have many fun fonts. they enjoy 49 free designs per day and the political leanings fee to adjectives the designs on their site is very logical.

good luck and if i can be of further assistance please perceive free to e-mail me from my profile.
Depends on how much you want to spend. Berninas are great and you can get them computerized or purchase programs that do different correspondence. Anywhere from $8OO-$5000. Brother makes machines that do embroidery as okay. If you want a big design like would cover the rear of a hoodie you'd need a commercial device. No idea what they cost.
