My roommate and I were lately given the opportunity to receive a new table for our living room. When I initially informed him, he told me "I close to our old table," noticeably indicating he wanted to save that one. I convinced him however to at least look at the other one contained by place, and we could compare which looked better.

Basically now, he's giving me an "No, it's cool. We can bring back rid of the old one. I know you're more into the investigational one than I am into the old one."

I individually would like to find a middle road somehow. Any thinking??

Answers:    Maybe you can find another place to put the old table? Maybe he can put it within his room and use it as a TV stand? Or maybe you can store it somewhere, so if you guys ever move away afterwards he can start using his old table again.
Its in recent times table anyways, lifes too short to stress about it. If he agrees to using the trial one, then of late use it. I'm sure he won't mind.
