I want to buy a new bed because ours is rubbish. It have wooden slats that keep giving road and dumping us on the floor in the middle of the darkness.
We live in a Victorian house next to narrow, steep staircases so we can't buy a divan because we won't know how to get it up the stairs. So - the choice seem to be a mesh base or metal slats/rods. Which will be more sturdy? I'm not thinking of comfort (will capture a good mattress for that) - which will be stronger and smaller quantity likely to dump us on the floor?
Thanks!
if the bed u use has wooden side too screw the slats on the side that will comfort with that issue ,a moment ago because you have doomed to failure experiance with this bed doesnt parsimonious slats are bad ,as for divan would a single divan underside fit as some double beds or kingsize divans come within two halves
Could be expensive but I go for good wooden slats.
Mesh simply comes as metal and it makes such a willow when it creaks.
Good quality wooden slats are pukka and I would never jump back....
Hope this help
Answers: Most double or king sized bed come in two parts at the present time, are you sure you wouldn't be able to attain half a bed up the stairs? Mind you, near is the mattress to consider, its just they are the most comfortable to sleep on.
