I have a low chicken fryer skillet/pan that I LOVE - it's a heavy anodized aluminum non-stick vessel, but the non-stick coating was flaking stale really bad. I get fed up near it and took a razor scraper to it and removed the coating (which be surprisingly easy to do!), but in a minute I'm hesitant to use it! lol! Anyone ever do this and is it okay?? The surface of the container is smooth and I also used a scotch-brite pad & cleaned it really resourcefully after removing the coating.
Answers: I have never done that but as long that in attendance is no silicone left at the back you should be safe. If you don't want your food to stick you can use for a moment oil to coat the jar .
as long as it is cleaned well, I don't see why you cant use it....
