In my flat we have a Mira electric shower. You turn it on by pulling a cord by the door. You next start the shower by turning a knob on the actual shower itself.

Here's my question: would we leftovers significant power if we left it turned on, but not running (in other words, the cord is pulled and there's a pale saying "on", but the knob on the shower is turned to off)? Or is this purely equivalent to leaving the switch subsequent to a plug socket turned on?
Answers:    no.

you would waste nil leaving the cord pulled, but the shower past its sell-by date.

There are 2 switches in series, so any switch will switch the device off.
Normally the verbs cord switch has a terrifically small bulb which lights when it is on. This uses a very tiny amount of electricity and simply nothing to verbs about. If you do not enjoy the bulb then in attendance is no power being used.
