I have a Chocolate Oncidium orchid that I've grown for 6+ years. The leaves are getting slightly bushy. Should I, can I prune them without hurting the plant? Any other suggestion about developed orchids? It hasn't flowered yet this season as it usually does.

Answers:    No - it sounds resembling you have a athletic specimen. More light will minister to produce flowers.

There is never a need to 'prune' the leaves as they will seasoned and fall bad on their own.

If the plant is not flowering and overcrowded, wait until you see the outset of new root growth and after divide it.
