Propane vs. Electric? We are planning on moving to the Lehigh Valley next year and...

We are planning on moving to the Lehigh Valley next year and I'm notice that most homes have electric stoves. Here surrounded by So. California, we've only used unprocessed gas and we really prefer it over electric.

Is it expensive to replace an electric stove with a gas one, using propane, and is the conversion to a propane supply for a stove trouble-free to do? Is it easy plenty to be done by a homeowner or does a plumber have to do it, and if a plumber comes out to install the propane container, does he do the whole situation (from the tank to the kitchen), or do we inevitability to get another installer for that chunk of the job?

It seem like when we buy a home surrounded by PA, we will most likely be getting an electric stove near it, but we would definitely be shifting it out to gas.

Thanks for any information you can provide on this. It will be greatly appreciated.
Answers:    We've had a gas inventory and clothes dryer for years and love them! We've found that the price of gas appliances in close to the price of electric appliances now. Watch out though --- not adjectives gas appliances are created equal --- they have to hold different fitting for propane and natural gas! I'm pretty sure Sears sell gas appliances -- and many primary furniture retailers also carry gas appliances immediately. Also check out propane supply companies, they also carry or can attain in appliances.
