I am having laminate floor fitted and I own a very indigestible, iron framed piano. At the moment, I have pushed the piano (with difficulty) into the communal corridor until the flooring is fitted. However, I am worried about how to, or whether to move the Piano wager on into the flat, or whether to get house clearance party to come and collect it. I bought it from a junk shop almost 10 years ago, its not in well-mannered condition and I cant play the piano anyway, but I quite similar to the look of it although my family say its an 'eyesore' and I should get rid of it.
Does anyone else own very filling furniture on laminate flooring, does it damage it and how might I move this entry along the floor? The wheels dont work on it and it tend to gouge out the flooring as it moves, I dont want the new floor tattered.
thanks
Answers:    You should do it up and swot how to play it! But if not; it sounds approaching it's going to damage your floor which I don't reckon is worth the risk otherwise you will have withered loads of money. Get rid of it.
Put some old mat under the wheel and it should push around without difficulty, you can also buy discs which stir under solid furniture to help you move them.I infer old Pianos, sewing machines and the similar to are very 1990's and should be thrown out, especially if you dont even play it.
