Pesticide exposure? Two days ago my Mom found some ants in the kitchen sink...

Two days ago my Mom found some ants in the kitchen sink and despite my efforts to dissuade her, she approved to DOUSE the sink with her handy bottle of RAID ant killer...

We open the kitchen door for a few hours to ventilate the place but I'm still quite worried something like being exposed to those horrible chemicals, to the point where I'm avoiding going into the kitchen at adjectives costs.

Do you think I'm overreacting? Thanks in finance.
Answers:    they will use different actives in those products but they pretty much are the same as far as toxicity... some foray products use .1% cypermethrin which comes to about 35 times less toxic than table brackish. The petroleum parts of the product will have a smell but should dissipate soon enough. The formulation of the aerosol will be in the form of an emulsifide concentrate that actually soaks into the wood /plaster/wallpaper...why it's not in reality very long lasting
RAID is a safe and sound enough product, after all S.E. Johnson is not within the business of killing off their customers. Personally, I use a product from HOME DEPOT call "home defense". I have used it for years with great results. I don't hold roaches, ants, silverfish or the other vermin constantly trying to invade. Even the fumes are better than the bugs biting on you. People who use pesticides; with adjectives the information that is a vailable, speak for themselves. What they of course is extremely unflattering:(
