Recently when I use the hob or oven they give stale a strange smell that's like adjectives plastic, even though it's not new. Is this dodgy? and what could be causing it?
What variety of bugs are these?
Answers:    If you or anyone else did not warmness a plastic container in nearby, then it could be a plastic coated electric chain getting too hot. Don't use it until you have an appliance tech check it first.

Check the coil surrounded by the oven, top & bottom. If you dont see anything call a repairman and dont use it till he take a look. Could be getting ready for a short/ electrical fire. Could be serious.
