we play darts on a carport it is open at front and top partially of one side when it starts to get dark they freshly swarm in and fly around the light . i necessitate the light to see and wanted to know an inexspensive instrument to keep them away it is very annoying please some one facilitate me find a solution

They'll be attracted to that pale, but it'll zap/kill them.

I don't know if using a yellow light bulb will still bequeath you enough light to play but that's what I use. Using a pale bulb seems to help some but doesn't preserve them away 100%. Also, I burn citronella candle's.

You need another light to attract them more try an electric bug whacker set it up just about 20' from where your playing it wont stop them but it will slow them down and kill them, within is also a propane bug repellent I heard works well but I've never tried it.
