I am thinking of replacing my 10 year old river heater next to a Tankless one so I can have continuous hot marine. Has anyone had right luck with this?
Answers:    Yes! I have one installed earlier this year after ours go out. There are a couple of things you have to take first, so here is what I know.

The unit is mounted on the outside of the house, preferrably by the bathroom to be precise used most.

A separate gas line must be run to the part.

The unit will obligation to be wired by an electrician.

Having said that, it takes a bit for the hot hose to get through the lines (just resembling you are used to) but then I haven't run out of hot sea!

It will cost anywhere from $4-6k to install, including the unit! Yikes! Yes, it's pricey.... In the long possession, you will be saving on heat since you aren't continually heating the wet that sits in a traditional sea heater.

From different plumbers, I've narrowed down that you want to achieve a Rinnai or Takagi. They are reliable and easy to bring parts for!

So, my advice is to seize quotes and do your homework. Best of luck. I hope this helped some.
They are expensive, but end a long time and have suitable warranty coverage usually. They work great. I have be in bldg maint for 16 years and enjoy dealt beside them. Good choice if you got the money
