We have radiators contained by our apt. and they're hardly ever anything more than luke reheat. I was excited to not be freezing this year, but later I learned that the hotelier has control over the boil. She says it's set at 69 degree, but we were so cold we bought a thermostat and it hasn't hit anything greater than 62 in three days. It's FREEZING! Is at hand room to complain? Or am I just man a baby?

Answers:    There is room to complain but do so respectfully and beside tact. If that does not work check with the local codes compliance department and see IF your city has set minimum temperature landlords are required to maintain, if they do bring that up to the hotelier (again politely). If worse comes to worse get a space heating system (preferably electric w/ tilt safety features) or consider moving out when your lease is up.
Would a steamer turn on a smoke detector?
