Do the sonic mouse repellents work, are some better than others?

i am looking into getting sonic repellent alarms, but would like any recommendations from population who have used them. (in UK).

any information on this would be great.

Answers:    I have three of the sonic repellents, and still occasionally receive mice so I think they're totally useless.

I have but to have a sonic repellant repel anything.for mice I have a better solutions...mint. not basically any mint though. winter green. they hate it! they aren't big on spearamint either. if you plant it later do it around the house however keep in mind that mint is agressive. you might want to put within in pots around the outside of your house. in the cupboards, buy some wintergreen mints and place them contained by the back. replace every month. my house is 100 years old and tremendously prone to critters but i haven't had a mouse since i started to do this! good luck
